Christmas gigs (updated)

We have a few Christmas dates for your diary

* Friday 7 December(CORRECTED DATE!)*  – Carols at Peckham Square (5-6pm)

Southwark Council have asked us to sing carols at the switching on of the Christmas lights in Peckham Square. Details to follow as soon as we get them.

Saturday 8 December – Carols at Ivydale School Christmas Fair 3pm

The Ivydale League of Friends has asked us to lead a community carol sing in the middle hall at Ivydale School. We’ll be starting at 3pm and singing a few well-loved carols, and getting the Ivydale parents and children to join in.

Suggested Carol list:

Once in Royal David’s City,
While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks,
O Little Town,
Away in a Manger,
Silent Night,
Hark the Herald,
We Wish You a Merry Xmas

Sunday 16 December – Carol Crawl – 2pm – 5pm – Peckham and Nunhead

We still have to finalise the exact pubs but we do know that we will be singing carols at:

2pm – The Rye Hotel, Peckham Rye,

3pm – The Old White Horse, Nigel Road, Peckham

4pm – The Old Nun’s Head, Nunhead Green

5pm – The Waverley Arms, Ivydale Road, followed by the usual carousing and raucous behaviour leading to embarrassing videos on Facebook in the morning.

If you can’t make the whole crawl, don’t worry, just meet us in one of the pubs and join in for as long as you want.

There won’t be a Christmas concert this year, but we’re hoping to get the funding to do something great in Spring 2013.
