Choir news

Next rehearsal: Thursday 18 October, 8pm – 9.30pm, at Ivydale School.

Fund raising

As you may know we’re a little short on funds this term – numbers are a bit down and we’re still trying to secure a council grant.  In order to reduce costs and raise some funds we’ll be taking a 2 week half term, so there will be no choir practice on 1st and 8th November.  Instead we’d like to invite you to a quiz evening at Bambuni on Thursday 8th November.  Tickets are only £5, and numbers limited, so pick one up at choir practice in the next 2 weeks (or until we run out) or email us if you’d like to reserve one.

We’re also planning a Christmas raffle and have a few prizes donated so far.  More on that after half term.

Carols and all things Christmassy

The second half of term begins on Thursday 15th November.  We’ll be concentrating on Carols and Christmas songs for the 5 weeks until the Christmas break.  A ‘Carol crawl’ is planned for the afternoon of Saturday 15th December with an end of term concert on Sunday 16th.

If you haven’t been able to make it to choir so far this term, we’re offering a reduced fee of £20 for the second half of term, saving you a fiver!  Or you can still pay £5 each week as usual.  It’d be good to see you again.

Next term

As we haven’t yet been able to secure a council grant this year, the fees will have to increase to £40 a term or £20 for each half term.

If you prefer you can pay for individual weeks at £5 per week and your total term fees will not be more than £40.  Let us know if the increased fee will cause you a problem and we’ll try to sort something out.
