Rehearsal news

Our first rehearsal of the Autumn term happened last night, and it was great to see everybody back on song. Bob reported that the Sing For Water event on 9 September was a roaring success, and raised thousands of pounds for charity.

New Tune

We started on a new tune ,God So Loved The World, from John Stainer’s Crucifixion.

Download the score for music readers and people who like to hide behind bits of paper.

And here’s a Youtube vid of the Kings College Choir singing it.

We also added another tune to the Beach Boys medley.

TV Star

We also found out that Caroline is starring in The Lovely Gareth Malone OBE*‘s latest Choir project, Sing While You Work. She’ll be singing with her colleagues from Lewisham Hospital  on Thursday 20 September on BBC2 at 9pm. Which clashes with the next non-TV choir rehearsal, so make sure you set the Tivo box…

* (this is his official new name…)

About Sarah Slade

Middle-aged, middle-sized and reluctantly middle-class eLearning designer, based in London. Wife to Mr Perfect, Mother of Little Miss Perfect. I write a lot of technical bollocks for a living, and as a consequence am very lazy about writing for myself. I occasionally write my own blog about living in London and sometimes I’ll find something interesting to say about my professional life. I sew a bit, I sing very averagely with an excellent jazz choir, and play a terrible game of badminton.
